- Solicitation No. DTNH22-14-R-00031 'FINITE ELEMENT MODELING SERVICES' The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA) with the Office of Vehicle Safety Research(VSR) anticipates awarding an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Time and Material Contract whereby Time and Material Task Orders may be issued in accordance with FAR 16.5 as result of this solicitation The objective of this resultant contract is to provide research data so that NHTSA can achieve its mission of reducing death and injuries on American roadways. The scope of this contract is to develop and exercise crash simulations of vehicle safety research tests to assist in predict the impact of potential safety implications. The specific crash simulation efforts will be issued through task orders. All work required hereunder, including preparation, submission, review of any and all reports, shall be completed within the Thirty-Six (36) months after the effective date of the Contract award. In addition, this contract includes a provision whereby the Government has the right to exercise up to Two (2) one year option periods, making the total possible period of performance five (5) years. Offeror shall submit their technical and business proposals electronically to Lionel Johnson, Contract Specialist via email at Lionel.Johnson.CTR@dot.gov and NHTSAOAM@dot.gov. The Business Cost Proposal spreadsheets should be interactive so that the Contract Specialist can verify the calculations used to obtain the final cost. The Proposals are due no later than 3:00 PM EST, Thursday, August 21, 2014. See attached SOW
