- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CHEMWARE INC FOR HORIZON LABORATORY INFORMATION SYSTEM SOFTWARE PACKAGE AT ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to negotiate solely as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(i), with ChemWare, LLC. located at, 900 Ridgefield Dr Ste 150, Raleigh, NC 27609-8514. The contractor shall provide software packages to include updates, upgrades, and patches to existing Government owned software manufactured by Horizon Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS). The software packages associated with maintaining the equipment are proprietary to the manufacturer. ChemWare, LLC. is the only authorized reseller of the Horizon Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS). Horizon Laboratory does not sell directly to the Federal Government. The following supplies are in support of the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC), located at APG, MD. CLIN 0001: Horizon Software - Main Site; Qty: Two (2) Software package CLIN 0002: Horizon Software - Remote Site; Qty: Two (2) Software package CLIN 0003: Horizon Software - Chemistry Labs; Qty: Two (2) Software package This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or solicitation. This is a special notice to inform the general public of the Government's intensions to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract to ChemWare, LLC., (Cage Code: 02EV8). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 511210 and the size standard is $25.0 million. All responses received within five (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), by July 28, 2014, to the point of contact listed below.
