- This is a Small Business Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office of Mine Safety and Health Research (OMSHR), Pittsburgh, PA is seeking information on sources to provide: 1 - NEW- MTU/MB Diesel Engine 4R 1000 Power Unit rated 173 hp@ 2200 RPM, with EPA Tier 4 and Stage 4 Final Certification; with: • Radiator and charge Air cooler with fan guard and shroud • Engine driven fan for suitable cooling of the engine. • 24 volt electrical system. • Base Frame mounted engine and radiator with supports. • Air Cleaner (mounted) • SCR system including DEF lines, dosing unit, SCR control mounted. • DEF tank mounted and all sensors required. • Catalyst muffler will be mounted. • Instrument panel with Digital display for all engine parameters, Rocker switch style throttle Control, On / off / crank switch, key style. Stop engine and check engine lights. Warning lights For DEF, engine torque limit, 2 additional gauge positions, diagnostic plug connection. • J1939 communication • Engine mounted oil and fuel filter system. • Shipment to NIOSH-Pittsburgh, 626 Cochrans Mill Rd, Bldg. 166, Pittsburgh, PA 15236-3611. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: 1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources, 2) whether they are small business; HUBzone small businesses; service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small businesses; women owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and 3) their size classification relative to the NAICS code 811310 for the potential acquisition. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. Additionally, organizations submitting information must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM, found at www.sam.gov). Respondents believing that they can provide the exactly make, model with accessories as listed above are invited to submit: • Organization name. • Address. • DUNS number. • Business size classification (e.g. 8(a), HUBzone etc.) Pursuant to the applicable NAICS code 811310 with a size standard of $7 million. • Points of contact. • Email for contact. • Telephone number for contacts.
