- This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following: Soil Treatment Plant Operations at Lajes Field Azores, Portugal. The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all operations required for the treatment of contaminated soil for re-use. The contractor is responsible to track the soil storage, treatment, soil sampling procedures, laboratory analysis results and provide monthly soil reports. All work performed by the contractor shall be in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and final governing standards for Portugal. The solicitation (RFP) will be available in the Government Wide Point of Entry (GWPE) otherwise known as the Federal Business Opportunities System or FedBizOps (http://www.eps.gov), approximately between 25 July 2014 and 5 August 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assigned to this acquisition is 562910. This procurement is unrestricted. The period of performance shall be one basic year plus four option years. The solicitation and any amendments will only be made available through the GWPE and no paper copies will be available. It is the offeror's responsibility to make sure all attachments are downloaded for this action. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the web frequently and obtain the solicitation any amendment or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System Awards Management System (SAM) and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) in order to be eligible for award.
