- 41 “ Sole Source Brand Name “ Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Air Circulating Equipment Solicitation Number: M67004-14-Q-9074 Synopsis: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE BRAND NAME ONLY. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, it has been determined that only the Ebac Industrial Products Inc 700 Thimble Shoals Blvd Newport News, VA 23606, the Original Manufacturer (OEM) or a firm that distributes and sells the Ebac Dehumidifiers brand name product can supply this equipment the Model 10240KP-US and Model CD35P. Blount Island Command has a requirement for a quantity of 156 each, Model 10240KP-US and quantity 27 each Model CD35P. This is a sole source brand name requirement that has an approved Justification and Approval for the utilization of brand name descriptions on file. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Interested persons may identify their interest and capacity by responding to the requirements specific to this requirement and/or responding directly to the combined synopsis/solicitation published in Federal Business Opportunities for the procurement of this item. All interest and capability statements received within five (5) days after the date of this publication will be considered by the Government; however, no contract will be awarded in response to this notice other than the Stamprite Company. This is a critical contract award that must be made before August 1, 2014. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government retains sole discretion to award and not compete the proposed contract action. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of follow-on contracts. This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
