Description
This synopsis is for the purpose of a pre-solicitation notification only. An Unrestricted solicitation will be issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District (SWF) for Deregulated Electric Service for Trinity Region Lakes, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District -Trinity Region Lake Region, consists of Bardwell, Benbrook, Grapevine, Joe Pool, Lavon, Lewisville, and Ray Roberts Lakes, Texas. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 6 August 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 221122, Electric Power Distribution and a business size standard of 1000 employees. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to supply deregulated electric service as defined in this Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. This requirement will be met with individual long-term deregulated electricity contracts for each Lake Operation. This means that one contractor could receive more than one contract award. The resulting long-term contracts will be firm fixed price, stand alone (C-Type) contracts. To meet this requirement, one solicitation will be issued with each Lake Operation having a single contract award made. Between the different Lake Operations there's an expectation that multiple contractors will receive awards to meet the overall deregulated electricity requirement. Each resultant contract will consist of one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The total dollar value of all resultant contracts will range between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The contractor shall perform to the standards of each of their respective contracts.
