Description: The Naval Supply Systems Command, Fleet Logistic Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office, Contracting Department intends to issue Request for Proposals (RFP) N00189-14-R-Z078 for cable television and internet services in support The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Bethesda, Maryland (WRNMMC). Services shall be provided using the existing infrastcture in buildings 50, 60, and 61 and using coax cabling. Television services shall inclue all basic business capabilities in HD and SD channels. Internet connection shall have data capabilities of 100 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download. The Navy intends to acquire these services on a sole source basis with COMCAST, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. It is intended to award a commercial, firm fixed priced contract type contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercail Items) procedures. The period of performance is from 1 October 2014 through 30 September 2015, with four, one year options for additional services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however all capability statements recieved by 25 July 2014 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action, based upon responses to this notice, is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable NAICS Code for the requirement is 517110.
