- Description
- The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center located at 7305 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410-6400, intends to release Solicitation VA248-14-Q-1479 for cooling tower repair services. Interested contractors must be able to provide professional service to replace fan bearings and "balance clean chambers" (BCC) on two Baltimore Air Coil Company cooling towers BAC Model # 3985A located at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) 7305 North Military, West Palm Beach Florida. Units requiring the work are CT#1 and CT#3. Unit #3 also requires replacement of the 12" butterfly water supply valve feeding the tower. Replacement of this valve will require a temporary shutdown of the chiller plant (weekend work) and the insertion of a blank into the non-functioning isolation valve for the tower. The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, OEM or equal parts, and labor. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and JCAHO. The full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS www.fbo.gov on or shortly after July 18, 2014. This full solicitation will be a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 811310, size standard $7.0M. This will be a Fixed Price, Contract with a performance period to be determined after award. All offerors must be registered in SAMS data base, see https://www.sam.gov and complete online Reps and Certs at http://www.sam.gov. Any SDVOSB and VOSB offerors must be registered in VetBiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov.
