Description
Class J&A for DoN LAIRCM and BOA N00019-10-G-0004. A Universal Urgent Need Statement (UUNS) has been issued to upgrade the aircraft belonging to certain USMC units with an advanced infrared (IR) countermeasure suite which incorporates advanced missile warning system sensors and an inexhaustible countermeasure. The AN/AAQ-24 addresses this UUNS with the Advanced Threat Warning sensor for missile warning, hostile fire, and laser warning detection and a Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) to defeat IR guided threats. The purpose of this procurement is to complete the non-recurring engineering on the AN/AAQ-24 software to integrate with an Electronic Warfare (EW) Suite Controller (e.g. AN/APR-39) and the MV-22 mission computer software for use on the aircraft as the MV-22 Integrated Aircraft Survivability Equipment (IASE) Suite. This procurement effort integrates and tests the upgraded AN/AAQ-24 with an EW Suite Controller and the MV-22 mission computer software as the MV-22 IASE Suite. This effort formally releases the IASE Suite to the US Navy for the MV-22 program. The delivery of one (1) set of alignment plates to support the alignment of the IASE B-Kit Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) on the MV-22 aircraft and one (1) AN/AAQ-24 lab stimulator to support MV-22 SIL integration testing is required.
