Description
The proposed contract action is for commercial item, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to KCI USA, INC. under the authority of Far 13.106-1 (b). This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-14-T-0229 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339113. All interested bidders shall submit quotations electronically by email to reynaldo.devera@med.navy.mil or by facsimile at 619-532-5596, attention Reynaldo de Vera. E-mail submissions are limited to 2MB. The submitter should confirm receipt of facsimile and email submissions. Quotations are due on or before 25 Jul 2014 at 04:00 PM Pacific Standard Time to be considered responsive. CLIN 0001 VAC Ulta Therapy Unit with Veraflow Therapy QTY 12 EA $_____________ NMCSD shall trade-in one Info VAC unit for each Ulta VAC purchased as part of this requirement. Offerors must propose a trade-in allowance/credit against the purchase of all new equipment as part of their quotation. Offerors must include a statement with their quote indicating the trade-in equipment will not enter the "grey" market. Quotes not addressing a trade-in allowance/credit may be deemed unresponsive. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), sole source justification is based on KCI USA, INC. being the only company that combines the function of negative pressure and fluid installation for irrigation. Contractor must be registered to the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award.
