Description
The US Forest Service, Chugach National Forest, intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order, as authorized by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), with The Alaska Channel, Inc., 507 E St., Suite 206, Anchorage, AK 99501. Alaska Channel is the only concessionaire responsible for selling advertising space at the Anchorage International Airport. The requirement is for the following: Creation of an interpretive panel about invasive species in Alaska and what the public can do to prevent their introduction and spread, and Purchase of space at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to display the interpretive panel for five (5) years. The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is an appropriate venue for this message because travelers are sometimes responsible for invasive species introductions. Tentative available space is a wall in Baggage Claim 9, across from the Concourse A exit. The wall can accommodate a display panel that is 65" high and 8' wide. The estimated total value for the current requirement to create the interpretive panel and rent the space for five (5) years, is not expected to exceed $150,000. Future requirements are dependent on receipt of funding. If funds are received in future fiscal years, it is possible that this requirement will continue. The grand total is not expected to exceed $150,000. This is not a request for proposal. No package is available for competitive proposals. However, companies that feel they can provide the required service may submit a statement of capability, past performance information, price and delivery time for consideration by the agency. Submit responses no later than 2 pm, Alaska Time, on 01 August 2014. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 541850. The period of performance will be five (5) years from date of award.
