- Description
- The USDA Forest Service has a requirement for a Contractor to complete a Construction Project for Trail Construction on Bartram Trail - Fish Hawk Reroute #4761 on the Nantahala Ranger District, Macon County, Franklin, NC Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, supplies, labor, supervison, transportation, and other items needed to complete this project within 90 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Project includes, but is not limited to: New Trail Construction, trail prism excavation, stump removal, brush cutting, hazard/danger tree removal, slough and berm removal, tread anhd drainage construction, installation of rolling grade dips, and erosion control. Awardee will be required to provide proof of Workman's Compensation Insurance within 10 days of the notice of award. MAGNITUDE OF THIS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: BETWEEN $25,000 AND $100,000 PERFORMANCE BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF 100% OF THE AWARD PRICE WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE AWARDEE WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE NOTICE OF AWARD. SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 6, 2014 AT 10:00 AT THE PROJECT SITE. DIRECTIONS: Take 441 from Franklin toward Otto on Georgia Road, US 441. Travel approx 5.4 miles, turn left onto River Side Road and travel.5 miles and turn right onto Hickory Knoll Road. Travel Hickory Knoll Rd for.75 miles and the meeting place will be on the right.
