- This requirement is for a commercial (FAR 12) firm-fixed price contract with option years for a NSN 5220-01-409-1793, Part Number CD12-AL-MS-720 Table, Positioning. It is designed to accurately position an item for inspection, calibration, maintenance, precision machining and/or other applications where sub-second positioning accuracies are required. The basic quantity is for 1-3 EA. The requirement also includes 4 option years each with an estimated quantity of 1-2 EA for AF, DOD and FMS requirements. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin. New item only. No surplus. Authority: 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Justification: initial spares buy, supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, and in addition the government does not own the data rights for the items being solicited. Limited sources are A.G. Davis Gage & Engineering Company (05910) and Mid Atlantic Sales Division (1F8P9). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. Offerors shall prepare their quotes in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFQ. The Government will evaluate quotes and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFQ. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or around 21 July 2014. The RFQ will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/ ). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. The estimated response date is 21 Aug 2014 with an estimated award date of 26 Sep 2014. All questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing to Kelly.Eller.2@us.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal.
