SYNOPSIS COMPETITIVE SPARES PR: FD2030-14-00369 RFP: SPRTA1-14-R-0323 Export Control Apply New Manufactured Material: A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. The items, estimated quantities and required deliveries are as follows: CLIN 0001: NSN: 2840-01-207-5405 JF / Part Number: 9528M23G11 / NOUN: CASE, COMPRESSOR, AIR/ Applicable to F101 Engine / Range quantity required: Minimum quantity required 4 each, maximum quantity 21 each and estimate quantity required 14 each to be delivery on or before 210 DARO. CLIN 0002: Government First Article requirements/ NSN: 2840-01-207-5405 JF/ Part Number: 9528M23G11/ / NOUN: CASE, COMPRESSOR, AIR/ Quantity 1 LOT; 1 each will be expended in testing. Description: Size/Dimension: Length 22.0 IN/ Width 26 IN/ Height 26.0 IN/ Weight 50.0 LB. MATERIAL: Titanium. FUNCTION: The compressor case (2 halves) contains the IGV Vanes and Stage 1 thru 5 Vanes. It has a series of holes around the outer perimeter for the IGV Vanes and Stages 1 thru 3 Vanes which are variable to regulate compressor airflow. AMC: 1/C The approximate solicitation issue date will be: July 3, 2014. The approximate response date will be: August 2, 2014. The anticipated award date will be: September 30, 2014. Destination: DLA Distribution Depot History: Last buy Feb 11, 2009 to General Electric Company, QTY: 10 each. The proposed contract action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under authority of FAR 6.302. This is a full and open requirement. All proposals received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacture meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
