- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Drum is conducting market research to determine the extent of HubZone small business concerns capable of performing as a prime contractor under a firm fixed price contract. The Government will use responses from this sources sought synopsis to make an appropriate acquisition decision about soliciting this requirement. This is neither a solicitation announcement, nor a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation for Bids (IFB) and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. Responses to this Sources Sought notice are for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine interest and capability of potential HUBZone qualified small businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $33,500,000. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract to install a new gate with operator at building P-11000, Fort Drum, NY. The scope of work under this acquisition will include, but not be limited to the following: The Contractor shall remove exciting galvanized gate and supply and install 1 aluminum alloy cantilever slide gate 16 feet long by 8 foot 3 inches high with a motor opener. The counterbalance length shall be 8 feet; the overall gate length shall be 24 feet. The gate frame shall be fabricated from aluminum alloy extrusions with primary members (top and bottom) rectangular in shape with a cross section not less than 2 quote mark x 5 quote mark. The gate shall have barb arms with 3 each strains of barb wire. The gate shall have chain link galvanized fabric. The Contractor shall install 1 (each) man gate on the right side of the gate opening. The gate shall be 36 inches by 80 inches with a latch that is capable of accepting a series 200 padlock. The gate shall have chain link galvanized fabric. The Contractor shall install 1 industrial slide gate operator. The operator shall be 1 horse power, have limit settings, have surge and spike protection, hinged access cover, LED indicators, emergency stop button, inherent obstruction, external obstruction, external manual disconnect and integrated 3-button control station. The operator shall be compatible for 3 phase 480 power supply. The estimated magnitude of this project shall be less than $25,000.00. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. Responses to this sources sought shall include the following: 1. Company profile to include company name, office location(s), DUNS/CAGE Code number, email address, and a statement regarding current HubZOne business status under NAICS 236220. 2. Prior/current experience performing efforts of similar size and scope within the last six years, including contract number, organization supported, indication of whether a prime or subcontractor, and contract value. 3. Registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (Y/N) The information should be submitted no later than 4PM Eastern Standard Time, on 18 July 2014 via email to Tammy Davis, Contract Administrator, tammy.davis4.civ@mail.mil, with a subject of Repair Gate and Opener, P11000.
