Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is not a request for Quotations, Invitations for Bids, or Request for Proposals. No contract award will result from this Sources Sought Notice. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - West Point, NY on behalf of the US Military Academy, Library, West Point, NY intends to procure three (3) Thief Detection Gates. MICC - West Point is conducting market research to determine the availability of small businesses, capable of providing and installing the required devices. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Three (3) each, Single Aisle Thief Detection Gates/system with built in patron counter, consisting of two (2) gates covering up to a five (5) foot opening. Power outlets would be ready at time of installation. System features required are as follows: -System must be compatible with all Electro Magnetic (EM) strips. -Must meet quote mark Barrier Free quote mark and ADA wheelchair accessibility codes. -Must provide full coverage up to 6 ft + in height. -Antennas must have an audible and visible alarm. -Systems must work with magnetic media (videos, audio cassettes and computer discs). -Security antennas must be mounted directly to the floor (conduit, or tracking installation) with power-cord complying with all installation requirements. -Wood side panels must have cherry finish to coordinate with the library d cor. -Security antennas must have corridor specific audible and visible (light) indicators. If one of the antennas is triggered then an identification light that is located at the top of the panels will illuminate with a high level of intensity in order to draw attention to the specific corridor. -Security antennas must be quote mark live quote mark at all times (system does not rely on a photo eye to be tripped when a patron walks through to activate the detection field). This provides quality protection between antennas as well as detection outside antennas. -Must be a system that can be installed very close (12-18 quote mark ) from metal door frames, columns, metal studs, etc. to maximize library space. -Aisle width can vary from 36 quote mark to 60 quote mark depending on library requirements. -Must include a full 12 Month Parts and Labor Warranty. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334290 - Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 750 employees. All interested contractors shall provide a capability statement that addresses their ability to provide the required system(s) and how they will meet the government minimum requirements in accordance with the above description. Interested contractors shall also include in their response the company name, address, phone number, POC for the company, email address for the POC and company CAGE code. Also provide information identifying if your company is a Large Business or Small Business per the NAICS code identified above. If your company is a Small Business, also identify any socio-economic information such as HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Woman Owned Small Business, etc. DISCLAIMER AND IMPORTANT NOTES: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in responses. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or to provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
