- RFQ This is a solicitation to purchase Fiber Channel (FC) connected disk array to provide file storage to the Management and Reporting System (MARS) Disaster Recovery (DR) site. Scope of Work What do you want to procure? A Fiber Channel disk storage array Is it a brand name or sole source? NOAA is willing to accept NEXSAN E48 or Equal functionality components (See Brand Name Justification). Product Specifications NOAA requires a Fiber Channel connected disk array with the following features: 1) Fiber Channel connections that will support 8 GB fiber channel (FC) server connections 2) At least 36 slots for hot pluggable disk drives 3) AT least 12TB of raw disk capacity already populated in the array 4) Mounting hardware for a standard computer rack 5) Dual Redundant power supplies with power cords 6) At least two (2) FC connections to the array 7) An internal controller supporting RAID 5 and RAID 6 8) The ability to create multiple concurrent virtual disk volumes and assign them to separate host servers 9) 3 Years of next business day on site repair warranty SAN array supplied should be a NEXSAN E48 disk array OR EQUAL. Security For security purposes all proposals must agree to meet the following requirements: DOC ITSPP media sanitization requirements, which state "The DOC requires the OUs to sanitize information system media, both digital and non-digital, prior to disposal or release for reuse." FAR 39.101(d) regulations involving NIST common security configuration checklists, including Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) or United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) initiative, Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) requirements from FAR 4.1302 stating: (a) In order to comply with FIPS PUB 201, agencies must purchase only approved personal identity verification products and services. (b) Agencies may acquire the approved products and services from the GSA, Federal Supply Schedule 70, Special Item Number (SIN) 132‐62, HSPD-12 Product and Service Components, in accordance with ordering procedures outlined in FAR Subpart 8.4., as well as Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) requirements from FAR part 11.002 (c) Stating: Unless the agency Chief Information Officer waives the requirement, when acquiring information technology using Internet Protocol, the requirements documents must include reference to the appropriate technical capabilities defined in the USGv6 Profile (NIST Special Publication 500‐267) and the corresponding declarations of conformance defined in the USGv6 Test Program. The applicability of IPv6 to agency networks, infrastructure, and applications specific to individual acquisitions will be in accordance with the agency's Enterprise Architecture.
