Description
The United States Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is conducting market research for firms experienced in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems for NOAA, Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Miami, FL. The work will consist of a HVAC Chiller and Cooling Tower and will be performed at NOAA, SEFSC, 75 Virginia Beach Drive, Miami, FL 33149. Work to be performed under this firm, fixed-price type contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning construction with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. Project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Interested firms shall provide responses that include the following: 1) Reference Sources Sought Number: NAAJ7531-14-00455CAY 2) Company name and point of contact to include name, email address and telephone number. 3) DUNS number 4) Size of the business (Small or Large) and the socioeconomic status of the company (i.e. HUBZone small business, 8(a) business, etc.) 5) A written narrative of the contractor's capability to perform the requirements listed above to include three examples of successful, similar work performed in the past. The information shall contain a brief description of the work performed, the clients name and address, contract amount of the contract and completion time and business size and if the work was performed as the prime contractor. Responses to this announcement must be received no later than 3:00 PM on July 18, 2014. Responses should be e-mailed to Charlene Yaple at Charlene.a.yaple@noaa.gov. Contractors interested in this acquisition must have the capability and experience to perform the above requirements. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive Small Business acquisition. If no qualified small business firms respond to this announcement, the Government reserves the right to issue the Request for Proposal as full and open competition. Eastern Acquisition Division, requires that all Contractors doing business with this office be registered with System for Award Management (SAM).
