- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide J&N Piles at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) in Sunny Point, NC. The work will consist of: 1) Preparation of a diving safety plan for both inspection and repair work. Inspection, both above and below water, from river bottom to underside of concrete deck, of all original octagonal concrete piles and underside of concrete deck from the shore abutment of Wharf Section ST2 to the shore abutment of Wharf Section NT4. Inspection of both abutments. Preparation of a written inspection report. Implementation of environmental protection and erosion control measures; 2) Type quote mark N quote mark pile repairs from Wharf Section ST2 to Wharf Section NT4, including surface preparation, legal disposal of concrete and other miscellaneous debris at a site off of MOTSU, and installation of new cathodic protection pile jackets; 3) Type quote mark N quote mark structural pile repairs from Wharf Section ST2 to Wharf Section NT4, including preparation, and legal disposal of concrete and other miscellaneous debris at a site off of MOTSU, installation of epoxy coated reinforcing bars, and marine concrete; and 4) Under deck spall repairs, 2 quote mark to 3 quote mark deep, from Wharf Section ST2 to Wharf Section NT4, including surface preparation, legal disposal of concrete and other miscellaneous debris at a site off of MOTSU, and installation of coating and concrete cover. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about August 12, 2014. The proposal date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% set aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990- Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $36,500,000.00. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
