Description
THIS FREE WEB CONFERENCE IS OPEN TO BUSINESSES WHO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION INFORMATION FORM AT THE REGISTRATION LINK. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is hosting a Web conference entitled "Doing Business with the OCC" to provide technical assistance to small businesses and minority- and women-owned businesses interested in entering or growing their contract opportunities with the federal government. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is the federal agency that charters, regulates, and supervises national banks and federal savings associations. The OCC's mission is to ensure that national banks and federal savings associations operate in a safe and sound manner, provide fair access to financial services, treat customers fairly, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. The OCC's annual procurement expenditures are approximately $155 million, with the top spending categories primarily in North American Industry Classification System codes: 541519, 541513, 531210, 541512, 524210, 541611, and 518210. The OCC uses U.S. General Services Administration multiple award schedule contracts, government-wide acquisition contracts, and multi-agency contracts for most of its contacting needs. For items not available through multiple award contracts, the OCC posts requests for proposals on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site (www.fbo.gov). The agenda for "Doing Business with the OCC" includes: (1) who is the OCC?; (2) what does the OCC buy?; (3) how does the OCC buy goods and services?; (4) what is the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) Program?; (5) what are some of the areas the OCC is forecasting for purchases in fiscal years 2015 and 2016? The Web conference will also include a question and answer session. The registration period opens on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 5:00 pm ET and closes on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 5:00 ET. No late registrations will be accepted. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION This is a registration-based Web conference.
