- ALAMOGORDO PHASE VII, OTERO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, and thus competition is limited to bidders identified as small businesses under NAICS 237990, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Bidders attention is directed to Section 00 21 13 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 15 August 2014, with bids due on or about 15 September 2014. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. CONSTRUCTION SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED under this firm fixed price contract will consist of the construction of a 4,800 feet long concrete channel with vertical walls along the alignment of the existing trapezoidal earth lined channel. The new concrete channel will tie into the headwalls of White Sands Blvd. and Florida Ave. and 1st Street, and 1st Street and Cuba Ave. Construction will also include 530 feet of a new interior inlet channel at the Florida Ave. Crossing. Additional features include guard rails with fencing along both sides of the vertical wall channel, ladder rung access points on both sides of the vertical wall channel between crossings, channel access ramps between crossings, and relocation of sewer and water lines along edge of the existing trapezoidal earth lined channel. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation to Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well.
