- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) contract to DRS Training and Control systems, LLC (DRS) to provide technical services and incidental materials in support of Advanced Data Acquisition Control System (ADACS) modification. The Advanced Data Acquisition and Control System (ADACS) controller, manufactured by DRS Training & Control Systems (DRS), provides the interface to the switchboard components of the Arc Fault Detection/Continuous Thermal Monitoring system (AFD/CTM). The newly redesigned system is referred to as Generation 3 Advanced Data Acquisition Control System (ADACS). The essential detailed design data is therefore proprietary to DRS. All of the detailed design information, which includes information on manufacturing procedures and methods, component performance, inspection and testing techniques and procedures, was developed by DRS. They are therefore the only source which possesses the requisite technical data on the design and operation of the ADACS. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
