- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of Research Technologies Branch (RTB) (Essential Support Plan –MSPEC-LC-MS) intends to negotiate on other than full and open competition the purchase for a LTQ Orbitrap Basic System and Thermo Electron is the manufacturer of the LTQ Obitrap and only their technicians have the technical expertise to service and perform maintenance on it. This is for a Base of 1 year and three 1 year Option years. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who can provide these services may submit a response that will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether this requirement is available for competition.
