- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. One (1) x Benchtop Automatic Viscosity instrument that meet the following specifications: The benchtop automatic viscosity instrument shall conform to ASTM D445 - Standard Test Method for Kinematic Viscosity of Transparent and Opaque Liquids. Performance: the time is measured for a fixed volume of liquid to flow under gravity through the capillary of a calibrated viscometer at a known temperature. The kinematic viscosity is the product of the measured flow time and the viscometer calibration constant. The benchtop automatic viscosity instrument shall have the capability of: - Automatically determination of kinematic viscosity IAW ASTM D445. - Ubbelohde style viscosity tube.. - Operating on a 110V/115V/120V power supply. - Use less than 1 liter of bath fluid - Sample changer capable of holding a minimum of 10 samples. - Non pressurized solvent cleaning system that contains solvent vapors. - Automatic cleaning of viscometer and sample vials. - Must include PC software to remotely control instrument. - Must include a 1 - 100 and 3 - 300 centistoke viscosity tube, sample vials, and oil standards. The software shall have the capability of: - Controlling the bench top automatic viscosity instrument - Data acquisition, processing/calculating, and storage - Preprogrammed test parameters for ASTM D445. - Displaying test results, status, and error messages On-site training on the use of hardware and software for the operation of the benchtop automatic viscosity under standard conditions, and maintenance of the instrument The contractor shall provide a comprehensive one-year parts and labor warranty that includes technical assistance by phone. The contractor must have qualified trained technicians on staff. Offeror shall include all shipping charges and deliver supplies F.O.B.
