- The VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS), VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS), Battle Creek VAMC, and Aleda E. Lutz VAMC (Saginaw) provides outstanding pharmaceutical service to the veteran population that they serve. However, long-term retention and recruiting problems have created an ongoing and significant shortage of pharmacists. Due to the need to provide continuous service to patients, the need to maintain academic viability and the requirement to meet stringent clinical standards, VAIHCS, VANIHCS, Battle Creek VAMC, and Saginaw VAMC will outsource certain professional pharmacy services. It is the intent of this facility to solicit a proposal in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of this solicitation and award a firm-fixed price contract on a competitive basis under the authority of 38 USC 8153.
