- Description
- The Forest Service anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price construction contract for demolition and remodel of the south wing and portions of the center connector wing on the basement, first and second floors of Building 26 at Historic Fort Missoula. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (other than for those listed as Government-furnished items) and supervision necessary for the demolition and remodeling of Building 26. Construction services shall include but not be limited to the following: • This Project is Phase 1, of a multiphase project. Project includes full scale demolition and removal of the building's existing finishes, including its mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Future phases will be completed over the next three (3) years. • The Project shall be certified under the "Green Globe" Certification system, Green Globe Level 2. Refer to Specification Section 018113 Sustainable Design Requirements. • Materials and products for the Project shall be compliant with the Federal Government "Buy American" requirement. • Building 26 is recognized as a contributing historic structure within the Fort Missoula Historic District, a Historic Site, on the National Register of Historic Places. Protect the National Register Listed building and the surrounding area. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 commercial and institutional building construction and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. Project is set-aside 100% for small business. The solicitation package will be available approximately on July 18, 2014 and should be downloaded from this website at that time. The work is estimated to begin September 15, 2014 for 240 calendar days which is approximately May 13, 2015. A site visit is scheduled tentatively for August 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Building 26.
