- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District intends to issue a request for quote for services at Barkley Lock located on the Cumberland River in Grand Rivers Kentucky. The synopsis is not a Request for Quotes (RFQ) or proposals (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. RFQ number W912P5-14-T-0068 will be issued on or about July 10, 2014 but may be issued prior to or after July 10, 2014. The Scope of Work/specifications and drawings will be attached with the solicitation. Summary of Work: Fabricate and rebuild Tow Haulage Traveling Bitt. Period of Performance: Will be within 60 days after receipt of an award. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 332710 with a size standard of 500. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business Set-Aside. The quote closing due date and time will be detailed in the RFQ and any amendments that may be issued. IMPORTANT NOTE: The FedBizOpps response date listed elsewhere in this synopsis is for FedBizOpps archiving purposes only. It has no relationship to the actual solicitation due date and time. Conducting Business with the Government: In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management Registration (SAM). All Offerors must be SAM registered prior to receiving an award. Registration instructions may be obtained and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov. By submission of a quote, a vendor acknowledges the requirement to be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation. When available, the solicitation documents for this project will be accessible via FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice.
