Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) intends to negotiate solely, as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i), with Dytran Instruments Inc., 21592 Marilla Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311, for the procurement of accelerometers. Specifically the government will purchase the following items: Model #3273A2 Accelerometer, Triaxial: 50g range, 100 mV/g, 4-pin side connector, adhesive mount, miniature, low noise Model #6811A10 Cables, four connector cable, 4 pin connector to (3) BNC plugs, molded strain relief on BNC's, 10 feet. Model #5313A Accelerometer, Specialty: 50g range, 100 mV/g, integral cable to (3) BNC plugs, seat pad accelerometer, triaxial (ridepads) Purchase of accelerometers needed for collection of vehicle vibration and shock data. Accelerometers need to match current ACE accelerometers to allow for interchangability and uniformity of data post-processing techniques. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. This announcement constitutes the only notice by the government; a written solicitation will not be issued. All sources that believe they are eligible to provide these items must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide the items outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the purchase will be awarded without further remark. All questions and responses concerning this notice shall be emailed to Ms. Jennifer Hayden at jennifer.e.hayden.civ@mail.mil. Interested concerns must identify their capability in writing to the above e-mail address or by mail to the address listed below no later than 10:00 am EST, Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
