- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: THIS PROCUREMENT IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SETASIDE. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Item 377-R, Levee Enlargement and Berms, in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, semicompacted levee embankment, uncompacted berm embankment, installation of relief wells, ramps, demolition of existing pavement, removing and replacing existing gravel surfacing, crushed stone surfacing, mowing, turfing, erosion control matting, cattle guards, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. THE FIRMS MUST HAVE THE APPLICABLE NAICS CODE OF 237990. Issue date on or about 25 June 2014. Bid Opening date and time: 29 July 2014, 1400 hours. This procurement is issued under NAICS Code 237990, FSC Code Y1PZ, for a firm fixed price contract. Funds are currently available for this acquisition. Right of Way is not presently available for this acquisition; therefore, bids will not be opened and contract award will not be made until all necessary right-of-way is available.
