Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine the availability of Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems that will successfully integrate with the Tridium Niagara AX DDC system. Results from this notice will determine whether or not the Government will pursue a blanket Justification and Approval (J&A) for any future Tridium Niagara AX requirements under current IDIQ MATOC contracts W912DW-14-D-1002 through 1006. The Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to provide new Direct Digital Controls (DDC) to support replaced heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment including air-to-air heat pumps, air handling units, exhaust fans, and hydronic heating boilers and pumps. DDC controls will be added to monitor building electrical power, natural gas and domestic water usage. This work will take place on Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) which includes all properties on JBLM; JBLM-Main and JBLM-North Fort. JBLM base-wide controls system utilizes Tridium Niagara AX Direct Digital Control System as the quote mark front end quote mark or software component of the DDC. This software sends and receives data from individual JBLM buildings to a central monitoring point. The DDC system remotely controls the building indoor environment, provides equipment status (alarm, heating, outside air) and temperature set points. DDC relays equipment use data to schedule preventative maintenance, controls internal/ exterior lighting, water usage and water heater temperatures, monitors and manages energy consumption, and monitors packaged equipment controls and alarms. New DDC Controls installed at JBLM must utilize Tridium Niagara AX to ensure complete integration of new DDC into the existing DDC system. The Government believes that the Tridium Niagara AX is a proprietary system and that products from other manufacturers will not integrate successfully into existing DDC systems which will result in incomplete and unusable control system. Manufacturers or providers who believe their product will successfully integrate with the Tridium Niagara AX are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice. Please provide your company name, address, point of contact to include phone number and e-mail address and a detailed discussion and explanation which validates your product's ability to assimilate with JBLM existing Tridium Niagra AX. Your rationale must include the method by which your product would successfully integrate with the Tridium Niagara AX. Your response must be received no later than 17 June 2014.
