- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is RFQP0403140039 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-72. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 311612 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2014-04-23 12:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be in the Special Shipping Instructions. The DOJ BOP Field Offices - FCI ENGLEWOOD requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: Beef Roast, Raw Beef Top or Bottom Round (Gooseneck), IMPS 168,170, 170A, 171,171 A, 171B Frozen, weight range 12 to 28 lb. Sodium content per 4 oz. serving must not exceed 200 mg.. Quote MUST indicate actual IMPS & average roast weight of quoted item. QTY: 3,000 LBS, 1, LOT; LI 002: Kielbasa, Polish Sausage, Beef, Turkey or Chicken - (or combination of), 4 oz. Link, 4 oz. Rope cuts or bulk Rope Link, Artificial or non-pork collagen casing, Fully Cooked, Frozen, finished products may not contain more than 3.5% non-meat binders and extenders (such as nonfat dry milk, cereal, or dried whole milk) or 2% isolated soy protein may be used, but must be shown in the ingredients statement on the product's label by its common name. All ingredients in the product must be listed in the ingredients statement in order of predominance, from highest to lowest amounts in accordance with the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) Food Standards and Labeling Policy. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, DOJ BOP Field Offices - FCI ENGLEWOOD intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. The line items are bid as a "LOT" price not individual cases. Any bid that is received as a unit price bid will not be accepted and the vendor will not be eligible for award. Per FAR 52.27-103-71 Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations (Aug 2005), Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
