- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, has a requirement to furnish all labor, material, supplies, supervision and equipment necessary to Upgrade Catfish Ponds 2-7 Electrical Service in accordance with the specifications, terms, and clauses. The service to be provided is, but not limited to, A) Removing existing Aerator controls, wiring and associated hardware B) Providing and installing new motor control center to operate aerators and interface with new oxygen monitoring and control system being installed by others and Providing all wiring and interface for a complete and operable system. The period of performance, after receipt of award, for the base requirement is 60 calendar days from the date issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000.The NAICS Code is 238210, with a size standard of $14 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB), set-aside for Small Businesses, and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-70. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-14-0005 is scheduled for release on or about May 5, 2014; interested contractors are to go to website: www.fbo.gov to download the complete bid package. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled on or about Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. CT. at the USDA-ARS, Warmwater Aquaculture Research Unit, Stoneville, MS 38776. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bids will be due by 2:00 p.m. on or about June 5, 2014. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors intending to conduct business with the Federal Government MUST register with the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting a bid.
