Description
This project is to secure services to haul logs from roadside salvage points, log decks, campgrounds, or other areas designated, to staging areas in close proximity of in-stream restoration sites. The work includes extracting material; sawing/bucking; delimbing; falling; uprooting trees; removing soil from root wads; and loading, hauling, and unloading logs, trees--with and without root wads, or root wads, from and to various locations. Contractor shall perform all work required in accordance with specifications of the contract. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. The Contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to perform the work identified in each task order. The Government anticipates awarding up to four Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The period of performance of the IDIQ contract is from date of award through March 31, 2019. Work to be specified, location of work and contract performance period will be ordered via Individual Project Task Orders. Contractor may be required to perform work items simultaneously on more than one district. The total amount of all task orders, when combined, will be less than $300,000.00. The minimum guarantee for each award is $1,000.00. Project locations will be on lands within the Siuslaw, Willamette, Umpqua, and Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests and the Eugene and Salem BLM Districts. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about April 28, 2014. Note: prospective awardees MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be awarded a Federal Government Contract. If you are not registered, please register at the following site: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ This procurement requires the use of bio based products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Bio based Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P).
