- Description
- The Government is contemplating a firm, fixed-price bridge contract with Ocean Ships, Inc. of Houston, TX for the operation and maintenance of eight U.S. Government-owned WATSON class Large Medium-Speed Roll-on/roll-off (LMSR) vessels. The LMSRs are part of Military Sealift Command's Prepositioning (PM3) program, supporting the Army and Marine Corps prepositioning programs and other Government missions. The contractor will provide personnel, operational and technical support (ashore and afloat), equipment, tools, provisions and supplies to operate and maintain the vessels. Work will be performed at sea worldwide. This contract will be executed only if the transition to the competitive follow-on contract, N00033-14-C-3210 has not begun prior to the expiration of the existing contract, N00033-09-C-3200. Performance on the contract being synopsized would begin 1 April 2014, and would include a three-month base period and one three-month option period, which, if exercised, would extend the performance until 30 September 2014. If executed, this contract would be a sole source contract with incumbent contractor Ocean Ships, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. The justification would be publicized in accordance with FAR 6.305. Ocean Ships, Inc. has certified that it is a small business concern under NAICS code 483111.
