- Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to perform maintenance operations on the taxiway located at the Hood Army Airfield (HAAF), Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under NAICS 237310 (Size Standard $33.5 Millions). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The purpose of this project is to repair the airfield taxiway. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Davis Bacon Wage General Decision Number TX140039 01/03/2014; Superseded General Decision Number: TX20130039; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; Counties: Bell and Coryell Counties in Texas, will govern work under this contract. Performance and payment bonds, in the bid amount, are required for this contract. A bid guarantee in the amount of 20% of the bid price is also required. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. Under this contract, the contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 12, 2014 under solicitation number W91151-14-B-0012 to the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) at https://www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents. Interested parties must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov to receive a government contract award.
