- AMENDMENT NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is RFP0406N6W40001 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-72. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 324122 with a small business size standard of 750.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2014-02-19 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Florence, CO 81226 The DOJ BOP Field Offices - FCI FLORENCE requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: FCC Florence has a requirement for the repair of Vault 1B. The vault top lid is in structural failure. The lid is deflecting down in the center approximately eight inches. Large stress cracks are visible throughout the underside of the slab and cracks are visible penetrating the entire thickness of the slab at the manhole access. The vault is exposed and backfill is the responsibility of the Government. The concrete vault is approximately 18? x 18? x 8? tall. The lid is approximately 10? thick and is approximately 10? below grade. The manhole access is approximately 2? above grade, located on the northwest corner. A boiler hot water expansion loop resides in the vault. There are no existing as-built drawings of the vault. The Contractor shall: 1.Design a vault top lid for original construction conditions. 2.Remove the existing lid and dispose of offsite according to regulations and laws. 2.Install the new designed top lid. 3.Provide project supervision. 4.Mobilization and demobilization to/from the project site. 5.Provide ventilation, shoring, and anchoring. 6.Provide all tools, equipment, and materials. 7. Provide all cutting and patching. 8.Provide protection for the pipes and contents inside the vault. 9.Disposal of waste according to applicable regulations and laws. 10.Provide testing and certification. Repair Vault 1B Location:FCC Florence Address:5880 State Highway 67 South, Florence, CO 81226 Owner:U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons(FBOP) The Contractor shall provide the professional services to perform the design services. A site visit is recommended but not required. Site visits must be scheduled with the Contracting Officer. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, DOJ BOP Field Offices - FCI FLORENCE intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. DOJ BOP Field Offices - FCI FLORENCE is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com.Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
