- Description: Armstrong Pump This is a Combined Solicitation/Synopsis for a commercial item acquisition and will be conducted in accordance FAR Parts 13. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business per VAAR 852.219-10 VA NOTICE OF TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (DEC 2009). The purpose of this Solicitation is to acquire Brand name or Equal equipment for the Miami VA Medical Center at the best value to the Government. It is the intention of the Government to solicit a Request for Quote (RFQ) VA248-14-Q-0510, NAICS Code: 333415, size standard of seven hundred fifty (750) employees in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of the solicitation and award a contract on a competitive basis. The contract resulting from the solicitation shall be a Firm Fixed Price contract. In an effort to meet the green initiative, documents shall be submitted electronically via email encrypted. Emails shall not be more than five (5) megabytes in size. The electronic solicitation is posted with this Synopsis on 12 February 2014. The offeror will be responsible for downloading all solicitation documents, amendments and other documents from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fbo.gov) without further notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO-8, Site Team Miami. All Requests for Information (RFI's) must be submitted via email before 17 February 2014. Interested firms must be registered in the SAM database www.sam.gov.
