- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQP04081300014 for the provision of Education Coordinator Services to be performed as part of the Life Connections Program (LCP) at the United States Penitentiary located at Leavenworth, KS. The services will be performed on-site at the facility in the Religious Services Department for the general inmate population participating in the LCP. The contractor will work closely with the LCP Chaplain Program Manager in providing the services. It is estimated that the contract will require an estimated 20 sessions (a session being defined as one hour in duration) to be performed weekly. Services will generally be required 3 days per week during normal daytime work hours, Monday through Friday. Services may be required occasionally on some evenings and weekends. The estimated total amount of sessions required per each 12 month contract period will be 1,000. The contract duration shall consist of one 12 month base year and 4 twelve month option periods for renewal. The applicable North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 624190, with a small business size standard of $10.0 million. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations may submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or about December 23, 2013 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated deadline for receipt of quotations is January 23, 2014.
