- The Government intends to procure electronic access to the American Physical Society collection of online journals. NAICS: 519130, FSC: 7630, SIZE STANDARD: 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. The proposed source is the American Physical Society. The proposed action is to acquire electronic access to the American Physical Society online journals which include: Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular & Optical Physics, Physical Review B: Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, Physical Review C: Nuclear Physics, Physical Review D: Particles, Fields, Gravitation & Cosmology, Physical Review E: Statistical, Nonlinear and Soft Matter Physics, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review Applied, Reviews of Modern Physics, and APS backfiles provided via the APS Physical Review Online Archive (PROLA) for the subscription period 01 Jan 2014 - 31 Dec 2014. In this planned requirement the funds are not currently available, but anticipate the funds will be available by the time of award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Air Force. The Government will consider any responses received within 15 days of issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement, and the Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
