- In accordance with FAR 16.103(d)(1)(iv), a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) contract type was selected for this effort because s pecifications and cost estimates for this support effort are insufficient to permit use of a fixed price contract. Because of this absence of precise specifications and difficulties with estimating costs with accuracy, the use of a cost plus fixed fee contract is appropriate. Extent competed: Not competed.
