Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is interested in identifying contracting entities that can distribute and display BEP tour brochures for the Fort Worth BEP visitor center in high-traffic, tourist-oriented locations including hotels, motels, car rental offices, visitor center locations, airports, chambers of commerce, restaurants, etc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, located within an estimated 70-mile radius of the BEP Tour and Visitor Center. BEP tour brochures will be provided by the Government to the brochure distribution provider This is a request for planning purposes and information only, and does not constitute an invitation for bids, requests for proposals, quotes, or an indication that the Government will contract for the services contained in this notice. The Government will not reimburse recipients for any cost associated with the submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to the interested parties for responses. Your response to this Request for Information (RFI) will be treated as information only. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their responses. No funds have been authorized or received for this effort. BACKGROUND As the U.S. Government's security printer, BEP is responsible for the design, engraving, and printing of all U.S. paper currency. Over half of the nation's currency order is produced in Fort Worth. In 2004, BEP opened a free state-of-the-art tour and visitor center in Fort Worth with the purpose of educating the visitors about the history and production of U.S. paper currency and other security items produced by BEP. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy two floors of interactive exhibits and displays, view a high-definition theater movie, take a free self-guided audio tour, and purchase uncut currency and souvenir items. As a way to bring awareness of how the public can learn about U.S. paper currency, BEP developed and printed a special tour brochure. The BEP seeks to identify contractors that can distribute and display BEP tour brochures for the Fort Worth BEP visitor center in high-traffic, tourist -oriented locations including hotels, motels, car rental offices, visitor center locations, airports, chambers of commerce, restaurants, etc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, located within an estimated 70-mile radius of the BEP Tour and Visitor Center. The brochure distribution provider will schedule in advance with the Government to pick up BEP tour brochures at the BEP Tour and Visitor Center located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131 during the following times: Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The proposed NAICS code is 541870 Advertising Material Distribution Services and the size standard is $14 million. Specifically, BEP is interested in companies that are able to perform the requirement. Those interested are requested to provide a company profile of their ability to perform the requirement, including the name of the business, DUNs number, and responses to the specific questions listed below. All answers should pertain to the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area: 1. Company Name, point of contact, email address, telephone and web address. 2. A brief description of your company's experience in distributing and displaying brochures in high-traffic, tourist -oriented locations including hotels, motels, car rental offices, visitor center locations, airports, chambers of commerce, restaurants, etc. 3. Specifically, identify any experience you have with comprehensive area coverage in distributing and displaying brochures in cities like the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. 4. Are you able to provide an established negotiated relationship with any high-traffic, tourist -oriented locations including hotels, motels, car rental offices, visitor center locations, airports, chambers of commerce, restaurants, etc. If so, explain. 5. Please provide a listing of brochure distribution locations and cities? 6. What is your route schedule to ensure brochure racks are serviced (re-stocked) on a regular basis, kept clean and in good repair? 7. How do you strive to display brochures to their best advantage? 8. How are your brochure display racks located to maximize accessibility by the traveling public? 9. Are you a member any professional brochure distribution association? If not, is there a reason? 10. How would you coordinate the receipt of BEP tour brochures? 11. Are you able to provide a key staff person capable of passing the mandatory background security investigations during the duration of the contract if on-site brochure pickup is coordinated? 12. What is your staffing contingency plan if/when key personnel and staff persons are remove from the contract for any reason (e.g., promotion, attrition, long term illness, impropriety, death, etc.) so as not to interrupt contract requirements? 13. What percentage of work, if any, would be done by subcontractors? If so, what are your quality control measures? Please provide your business size. At this point in the procurement process the BEP is performing market research to determine the interest of SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB and SB.
