- The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source delivery order to GE Aviation Systems, 1354 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, Rockford, Ill 61132-2909, (Cage Code: 05624) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has revealed this contractor is the manufacturer who maintains the proprietary drawing and is the only source capable of providing the direct replacement aircraft parts. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure: Housing Assembly, P/N SYLC-1690-1; 14 each Ring, P/N SYLC-1677-1; 28 each Trunnion, P/N SYLC-1676-1; 28 each Nut Jackscrew, P/N SYLC -1667; 22 each as required to fulfill the Government's requirement. These parts are direct replacement parts for the V22 Aircraft which are only manufactured by GE Aviation. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
