Description
6 Axis Industrial Robot Arm Red River Army Depot is seeking interest from vendors who could supply one (1) 6 axis industrial robot arm per the following description. A project has been defined by Production Engineering Division Applied Technology Branch to design and develop a quote mark Robotic Machine Tending Cell quote mark. The cell will consist of a machine tool such as a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) lathe or CNC milling machine, 6-axis industrial robot arm, and peripheral equipment required for a functional work cell. The robotic cell will be designed to process varying workloads and different quantities of work (high mix, low volume) which in turn results in irregular scheduling and uneven machine loading quantities. The cell will be required to quickly adapt to a variety of part shapes and configurations. The robot arm will have 6 rotating joints, a payload of approximately 10kg (22 lbs) and a reach between 1220mm (48 in.) to 1400 mm (55 in.). The robot arm will be small, not to exceed 31.75 kg (70 lbs) compact and easily moved by one person without the use of additional material handling equipment such as a forklift or crane. It will be controlled by a detached teach pendant with touch screen interface. Programming must be intuitive, requiring minimal training. The robot arm can be programmed by physically moving the arm or jogging with the teach pendant then recording the point. It will contain a minimum of eight (8) input/output (I/O) ports. The robot arm will be collaborative in design and safety approved to operate without machine guarding. Operating voltage for the robot arm will be 120 - 240 VAC. Customer support and (or) technical assistance must be readily available. No award will be made as a result of this sources sought. This sources sought is only to seek information from industry. Please submit a letter of interest to include any certifications, as well was any past Government awards. Submit these documents to Lizete Greene at lizete.m.greene.civ@mail.mil with the subject title quote mark Robotic Machine Tending Cell-Sources Sought quote mark.
