- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for a Busway Power Distribution System in support of Naval Power Avionics Thermal and Hydraulic (NPATH) Laboratory operations at the Electrical Power Systems Evaluation Facility (EPSEF) located at Patuxent River Maryland. NAWCAD intends to purchase various Square D Busway components composed of I-Line I and I-Line II manufactured by Schneider Electric, 5735 College Corner Road, Oxford, OH, 45056 on a Sole Source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The components to be procured must be of exact form, fit, and functional replacements as well as interoperable with previously procured components and existing facility installations (Busway and structural components). The components to be procured must be compatible with existing, specially engineered structural stanchions. The Government intends to award two (2) contracts. Busway I-Line II 800 Amp components based on an in-house design in accordance with EPSEF Drawing Nos. 800A Path No. 1: 150-009-001 and 800A Path No. 2: 150-009-003; and I-Line I 400 Amp components base on an in-house design in accordance with EPSEF Drawing No. 150,009-005. These items shall be purchased on a firm-fixed priced basis. For the 800 Amp components, CLIN 0001 shall consist of the I-Line II components and CLIN 0002 shall be an Option CLIN to provide for additional components required for installation. For the 400 Amp components, CLIN 0001 shall consist of the I-Line I components and CLIN 0002 shall be an Option CLIN to provide for additional components required for installation. Delivery is required within 120 days of Contract Award. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
