- The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to award contract W52P1J-14-D-0012 for the extension of Bremerhaven Container Repair Services currently provided under expiring contract W912CM-10-D-0003. The proposed action is to issue a contract for six months from 1 December 2013 to 31 May 2014 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The extension is necessary to ensure continuation of services and to avoid disruption of critical services. A competitive follow-on action will not be executed for this requirement. Rather, the Container Repair Services function will be met organically. The Government is currently working to position the proper assets required to adequately support the mission and this bridge contract will ensure continuity of services in the interim. Not awarding this extension would cause serious harm to the Government. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the date and time identified. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement in the timeframe required. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of Derek M.
