- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line is seeking qualified sources that can provide Furuno Scalable Integrated Navigational Systems (SINS) and selected Furuno VHF communications equipment and repair Furuno SINS equipment and FM8800s VHF transceivers to support over 1,700 Coast Guard surface assets which include, but are not limited to the following boats; 24 SPC-SW, 25 RB-S, 25 RB-HS, 25 TPSB, 26 TANB, 33 SPC-LE, 42 SPC-NLB, 45 BU, 45 RB-M, 47 MLB, 49 BUSL, 52 MLB, 55 ANB, 64 ANB, and several other prototype assets and non-standard boat classes. All parts supplied must be genuine Furuno parts. All repairs must be completed by authorized repair facilities in accordance with Furuno technical specifications and using genuine Furuno replacement parts. No substitute or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is Government's belief that only Furuno, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or their authorized dealers/distributors/repair service centers can provide these supplies and services while ensuring exact fit, form and function, with existing equipment. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM and therefore is not available for release. However, sources capable of providing these exact parts may submit their capabilities to this office within ten (10) calendar days from the date this notice is published. Information submitted must include (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the capability of the Offeror; (2) acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (3) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the OEM. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
