- On November 7, 2013, the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division - Kansas City Office awarded a contract to provide the T56-A-14 Series III engine refresh for NOAA's WP-3D aircraft N42RF and N43RF (four active engines and one spare engine per aircraft). The ten (10) engine refresh will include standard overhauls to all five sections of the T56-A-14 engine; a set of NOAA selected Series III Reliability enhancements; and, the incorporation of the T56-A-14 Series 3.5 Engine Enhancement Package. Contract WC133M-14-CN-0012 was awarded to Rolls-Royce Corporation, 450 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225-1103. This is a firm-fixed-price contract with a potential dollar value of $9,967,649.90. The total potential period of performance is November 7, 2013 through October 16, 2015.
