- Equipment List Statement of Work The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is seeking sources capable of performing preventative and corrective maintenance on x-ray equipment for ports located throughout the state of Hawaii. All of the x-ray equipment is manufactured by Smiths Detection and companies must show that they are capable of performing the maintenance and acquiring repair parts (e.g., authorized Smiths dealer). Responses to this sources sought notice will be used to help determine acquisition strategy (e.g., small business, HUBZone, SDVO, or 8(a) set-aside, GSA schedule, full-and-open competition). Companies interested must submit the following: A maximum of a five page capability statement that shows the contractors ability to perform the work (history, expertise, number of employees, qualifications, ability to get repair equipment, etc). Information provided beyond this number of pages will be reviewed solely at the discretion of the Government. This information will be used to determine if the company is capable of performing the work described in the draft statement of work. The current contract expires in April 2014 and the incumbent contractor is Smiths Detection (AG-6395-C-09-0068; 2009-2014).
