- Description
- The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, intends to award Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to EBSCO Industries, Inc. for Database/Journal Subscription Renewal. The contractor will provide online database services for following; Academic Search Complete and Criminal Justice Abstract, this databases contain functionality that is proprietary which EBSCO Industries is the only vendor capable or providing the services. The period of performance for the proposed contract is 10/17/2013 through 09/30/2014. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Any parties interested in the award should submit their response, with proof of ability and capability to provide the service, no later than November 22, 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
