J&A 6.302-1 SP330013M0729 Fiberboard Shipping Containers Contract Number: SP3300-13-M-0729 Notice Type: Award Notice Synopsis: PONDEROSA PACKAGING CORP. 15 PONDEROSA DR MELVILLE NY 11747-2404 USA Award Amount: $152,559.15 A purchase order has been issued to Ponderosa Packaging Corporation to acquire single and double wall fiberboard shipping containers constructed complete and in accordance with Stock Number Specifications for DLA Distribution (multiple locations). This requirement was not synopsized as required by FAR 5.201. An exception to the synopsis requirement was taken as described in FAR 5.202(2) and 6.302-2 (unusual and compelling urgency). An unusual and compelling urgency for these items precludes competition to the maximum extent practicable, as such; limited competitive sources were contacted to provide price quotes. In accordance with FAR 13.104, multiple suppliers were contacted to provide a quote for the material as described in the schedule.
